I'm more frustrated by the fact the ~Big Four~ completely cut out Flynn and Astrid and completely ignore their existence despite how they're both important parts of Hiccup and Rapunzel's development.

Also WTF at Rapunzel having her long hair. It's not like cutting it off at the end wasn't a huge significant thing or anything.

I think I'm pretty petty because while I don't mind them cutting out Flynn, I hate that they cut out Astrid.

See, with me it's the other way. I was kind of "meh" about Astrid, but I loved Flynn. He is all of my favorite character traits combined.

Ehhhh, I'm more forgiving of these things because "The Big Four" is so obviously an AU that it could easily take place before Rapnuzel met Flynn, or even in an entirely different universe where one of the other "Big Four" characters were the one that lead her from her tower instead of Flynn... but I can understand how it would be a big "WTF" for others. *shrug*

Yea, same here. For that matter, how often do Big Four-related things depict Hiccup with his prosthetic leg?

But then, I am a leg amputee so that...comes natural to me?

I wish for this too. I think the hair thing is because 1) They want her to have a power and 2) The fandom is gif heavy and most of the movie she has long blond hair.

But, yeah, I wish they included their canons, and important significant others, a bit more.

Yeah, I think that what bugs me the most is this trend of taking the characters and then sort of filling them up with mostly made-up personalities that ignore their original development. If you're going to make some OCs with the skin of canon characters, where's the fun in that? :/

Yeah. Well, I think the fun, for them, is creating their own canon with a whole group of people. It's like having a group world creation. Everyone is the writer and designer. Their work has an instant fandom too, themselves.

It's just not for me.
