(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 02:42 am (UTC)(link)As a writer, I've struggled sometimes not having a list I can refer back to when I'm tagging. Generally I type a few variations in the "Other tags" bar and wait until one that fits pops up in the drop-down list so at least I know it's used by other people.
I think it would be easier (on our end) if you had a "searchable tags" list that was public so writers would know what tags you wanted us to use. It would probably end up being horribly complicated with all the fandom-specific tags and any kind of policing would cause wank.
I just... want to make your job less awful by not contributing to the mess.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-11 02:51 am (UTC)(link)This: http://archiveofourown.org/tags/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query%5Bname%5D=&query%5Btype%5D=Freeform&query%5Bcanonical%5D=true should be all the canonical freeform tags, but considering that there's more than 17,000 of them, that isn't much help.

Check the "canonical" box when searching, and you limit the results to wrangler-standardized tags.
