I can see how this would raise a few eyebrows. It's one thing to think the villains are cool. It's another thing to get their symbol tattooed on their body.

I mean, logically I know that it's a fiction, and fiction =/= reality, but... If someone I knew/was interested in wanted to get that as a tattoo, It'd definitely make me less likely to want to be in a relationship with them, just on a personal level. :/

Not at all. I once saw a person who I could've sworn had a DE tattoo and I just was like D: IRL without really knowing why.

I think it's because people who romanticize a fictional violent terrorist group whose fundamental aim is to reinforce racist power structures don't really understand what Voldemort's ideology was all about and the parallels JK Rowling drew in her books.

It's totally a good reason to break up with someone. The darkmark is a fictional version of a Swastika. The Death Eaters are fictional, magic Nazi's. Who the hell would date someone who thinks that's a good thing to tattoo on their body?!?

You want to show Slytherin pride? We have a goddamned house crest! Or just a snake! A Sorting Hat song line about Slytherin! Anything but the symbol of a hate group!
