I've never tried to do this, but I've had "breakthrough bleeding" on the pill while using it normally. Whether this happened seemed to depend on the particular version of the pill, because I didn't have the same problem with all of the ones I tried.

Maybe you need to try another brand/type? Did your doctor say the one you're on would work for this?
