Never. (I'm 30, if that matters.)

Unless you count second hand smoke, then from the day I was born probably. Everyone but my mom were chainsmokers until I was in my late teens when they all decided to quit.

It's really good that you never smoked even though almost everyone in your family did. A lot of people I know who smoke began the habit because their parents smoked.

Which is funny because I always thought it would be the opposite. It's so gross growing up in a home of smokers. Yellow walls because of all the smoke/tobacco/tar, my clothes always smelled of smoke, the car stank of it. It was probably the best anti-smoking program, growing up with that.

Funny thing is I was sort of sickly all through my childhood and it wasn't until I went to college, felt suddenly fine, came back for breaks and got sick that I realized it was the smoke making me ill.
