(Anonymous) 2013-06-12 01:05 am (UTC)(link)The world has strange expectations for women. There was hate at Buffy over this too. Society has this default idea that female people always have to be performatively caring, and emotive, and open by nature, or else there's something wrong with them.
The complaints about Katniss are nothing more than gender policing. You're okay as you are, and there are plenty of people out in the real world who'll recognize that and respect you for it.
