...is there a lot of overlap with these two fandoms that i'm not aware of?

Judging from the responses here that seem to be familiar with both, I guess at least somewhat.

I only know of that crazy Youtube girl who was obsessed with Twilight and then got into Supernatural later, and I have a friend that likes both, but otherwise I personally haven't had any experience with any overlap.

It's more likely just BIG FANDOMS, can't help knowing about them.

Exactly. Supernatural is one of the big three TV fandoms on tumblr, and most females have at least tired to read the first book of Twilight because of its notoriety.

Considering that when I try to search for SN fic with Bela Talbot, I get inundated with crossovers featuring Bella (damn autocorrecting search engines), there seems to be.
