He's done some good stuff but he is certainly not the Jesus of feminist geekdom. It's hard for me to shake the vibe I get from some of his stuff that it's more about making the women badass because badass women are hot rather than because badass women are badass.

I'm sick of Jesuses of Feminism. I'm waiting for the Mary Magdalene of Feminism. Although it is possible we've already had her, but she got whitewashed out in favor of the Jesus of it due to her being a woman.

Oh gods yes this. I also think Moffat thinks assertive/bossy women are hot, and so appears to be "feminist". I'll take Whedon's "feminism" over Moffat's however. Not like there's a lot of actual "feminism" in genre film/telly.
