could you maybe make a manual of the more common "problems" and "how to's", print many copies and pass them around, or at least have one at hand?

would that help? (this really depends on your coworkers; I know this sort of thing actually works for people who prefer following written instructions they have at hand, but others wouldn't like it)

It would only work if it was translated into their language, and I can hardly read in it myself (it uses a non-latin alphabet). To their credit my coworkers have occasionally tried to write things down as I explain, but with the language barrier they never get very far and write down the instructions wrong. I end up having to do everything anyway.

well, it is a possible project to work on as you master the language, or maybe if you get someone nice and patient with tons of free time to help you do it
