Well. Yes. But is it not fairly obvious that the Castithan use/view sex as a tool to manipulate others? Stahma's conversation with Kenya in Monday's ep (episode 8), pretty much clinched that, IMO; Stahma is looking to throw a wrench in Datak's plans, and like Nolan told her, "I've been watching the wrong snake."

OK so maybe Stahma is all about using sex to control/manipulate others. But that's a comment on the role of women in Casti society, NOT a comment on orientation, etc. Or maybe a comment on Stahma's role in Castithan society, IDK.

Plus, Kenya's getting paid (see episode 8), so it might not necessarily be about orientation with her, either. Also it seems to me Stahma is totally grooming Kenya for something (the whole bit about "using your hatred in the right way" etc.) but what, remains to be seen. Likely to double-cross/mess with Nolan, because of his remark about keeping his eye on her.

....I really don't understand why Tumblr is so totally and completely in love with Stahma Tarr. The girl is as stone cold as they come.

If you read the wiki page, the Casti are totally a kind of 'sleep with whomever, you humans and your hangups' kind of people, which is very cool.

Yeah, honestly, Stahma worries me. I'm fairly certain she's going to end up as the main antagonist, if there is one - tying in with what the ex-mayor is doing, possibly. Datak has all the power up front (but only because he married her), but she is definitely pulling the strings.

And it sucks because I really like Kenya :-\

Datak was actually my fave character until recently...

I will agree that Kenya and Stahma running away together would be pretty cool.

Poor Datak. I'm not too fond of what they did to Yewl and Nolan in the latest episode. :-P 8 episodes in, and already they're out of character? Not a promising development.

I'm so behind on this show but just let me say that it pleases me that this is canon. Can't stand Datak so seeing Stahma with a character I actually like will be nice.

I have no clue about this show, but I love their outfits! And I'm happy about any f/f hints or canons.
Should I watch it?

You should watch it if you like sci-fi and aliens. It's pretty damn neat. The Wiki page will tell you that the alien race on the right (very pale), the Casti, are pretty sexually open and don't really care about hetero/homo, whatever, just sleep with whoever.

So hopefully there will be more, this scene was just in the last ep or so, so hopefully it will develop!

Now it's you against the other anon who didn't like it.
But I'm interested. I think I'll give it a try. Nowadays I get bored with TV shows that aren't cartoons real quick. My attention span isn't the best when it comes to TV series.
But I like aliens :)

I think there are more on this comm that like it than don't. I really got even more interested when i read the Wiki. It has information about the different aliens that, obviously, is not poured out in the first episode or whatever, so it made me want to watch just to see all the different stuff.

Plus, it's just cool. ALIENS! Plus, Darla (from Angel) is the Mayor, which is neat. :)

I hated it, cheesy effects and tired tropes. But you should watch it and determine for yourself it you like it. It's getting fair ratings for a syfy show and has been renewed for a second season. (Seasons are short, not the 20 or so episodes of past Syfy shows) You can also play the game if you like.

Watch it. Try the pilot and see if you like it. Aliens, future worlds, humor, action, good characters, TONY CURRAN. It's awesome.

If you don't like the first couple of episodes, you probably won't end up liking the series. I'm enjoying bits and pieces, but I don't know if I could recommend it to anyone because it's got some acting/writing issues that are worse than a lot of Syfy shows.
