It doesn't just happen to large-chested women -- I'm small and I ran up against this a little while ago.

I suspected I may have been wearing the wrong size (although looking back on it now, those were cheap-ass bras), so I went and got myself fitted at a lingerie store (Bras n Things). I normally buy a 10B (it looks like a ridiculously small number, but Australian sizing is different), but they told me I was actually an 8C. Problem there is that, even in this particular shop, they only had, like, 3 8C bras. Not styles of bras. 3 8C bras total. And they were like, $40 each. In the end, I went back to a 10B because they're way easier to find and cheaper as a result, and I got some better quality ones shortly after that so they're much more comfortable than the $5 monstrosities I was wearing at the time.

I would be THRILLED to find quality bras in my size for $40.

Oh man, same here. The last time I bought bras that actually fit, I paid $250 for 3 of them. After those wore out, I had to revert back to bras that don't fit properly, since I can't afford to drop that kind of money on ones that fit atm. :/

Well, I didn't have a job at the time, so that probably influenced my decision. They might have even been a bit dearer -- I can't remember exactly what the price was.
