(Anonymous) 2013-06-15 09:19 am (UTC)(link)Case in point, the bit in the first movie where Clark comes to Lois's apartment after she's just went off for that flight with superman, and he takes off his glasses, then thinks 'Screw it I'm gonna tell her' There's an appreciable difference between his 'Clark' face, and stance, and whole demeanour and his superman. Like a switch was hit, and BOOM Superman in Clarks clothes.
It's possibly been 10 years or more since I saw that movie, but I do indeed remember the scene you're talking about. Christopher Reeve is the only one I can recall who really pulled off that whole change in demeanour. (Haven't seen the new film yet, tho.)

(Anonymous) 2013-06-15 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)I'm probably seeming very down on the film, but I DID like it, It just felt a bit... empty in the characterization of supes. Definitly go and see it. Lois is great, Jor El is fantastic, the action and special effects are spot on (The oil rig right at the start is so simple and so whoa), and they obviously have something planned to make a very impressive sequel. I just hope Cavill and Snyder can get superman to feel more like superman by the time that comes around.
