More identifED with, past tense, when I was a kid. Not identify with right now. But, uh, Lisa Simpson and early-season Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle.

The first reason you suggested pretty much sums up why I never admit this...>_>

I mean, no, I sure as hell can't do mathematical tricks with random credit card numbers, but I guess those kinds of exaggerations never get handwaved as "well, it was a story, you're still allowed to relate to them", even though people are allowed to relate to characters with other kinds of exaggerations like having incredibly dramatic childhoods or OTT trauma or being incredibly badass or heroic.
