(Anonymous) 2013-06-16 02:35 am (UTC)(link)N!S: I am ridiculously excited for this game, and I'm planning on getting a PS4 just to play it.
Secret: I won't be that heartbroken if I can't afford either in time for the release; it'll give me time to dig up spoilers and make sure SoKai isn't endgame. I really doubt I'll bother wasting my money on it if it is. I love these games, but LBR, I'm playing for the hoyay.
(I am aware of how petty this is; no need to remind me.)
[Transcription notes. "SoKai" is the pormanteau of Sora and Kairi. Sora is the main character, a young boy in his mid-teens, and Kairi is one of his friends, a girl of roughly the same age. The Kingdom Hearts series has been kind of weird in that depending on how you look at it, Kairi might be Sora's love interest... or she might just be a very good friend and the love interest is Riku, a boy in the same age group and best friends with the other two. Sora has shown concern for both friends that could be interpreted in either way.
LBR = Let's Be Real
PS4 = PlayStation 4, the next generation video game console from Sony that was present at the last E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) a few days ago, along with trailers for new games; one of them being a teaser for Kingdom Hearts III, which is still in production and with a faraway unknown release date.
"hoyay" = TV Tropes parlance - it stands for "Homoeroticism Yay" - it refers to the fandom activity of taking any interaction between two male characters and see if it can be interpreted as the two of them having sexual or romantic interest in each other.]
