How Music Works by David Byrne is a really good nonfiction book that I just finished reading. It's pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. I also have been really enjoying the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik!

Just a music buff, really! (I used to play a few instruments, but it's been quite a while, so I don't really feel I can call myself a musician. XD)

Ohh, thanks for reminding me about Temeraire. I picked up the first book on a whim about a month ago because the ebook was on sale for $1, and I thought "sure why not."

And then of course I promptly forgot about it. Whoops.
