no subject
It jus occured to me that an adult novel I'm writing would be better off as an anime or animted film. It reminded me that sometimes, I thought of being a director of my own animated movies. Only a few problems...
1. I'm a writer, and a shitty artist.
2. The executive meddling that doomed Thief and the Cobbler and Ralph Bakshi's early draft of Cool World terrifies the shit out of me.
3. Animation Age Ghetto, anyone?
4. I'm not Japanese, so Japan won't accept me anyway.
5. Even if I did follow my vision, it's likely to flop and I'd lose money and not be able to make any more films. Thus contributing to people's belief that "animation doesn't sell".
It makes me feel like that due to my weird interests, I just don't fit in anywhere.
