that tumblr is really quite diverse? The Sherlock fandom is notorious for it's stupidity because it is large, mainstream, appeals to teenagers, and embraces weird yaoi tropes with open arms(TUNALOCK ANYONE?). The bigger the fandom, the more people it will attract, and subsequently produce a lot of crap content.
That post is simply an inside joke for some stupid clique in the Sherlock fandom. Unfollow the dumbs and be done with it.

all of this. my friend loves BBC Sherlock and Johnlock but fucking cringes and is embarrassed/aware of the crazies. ngl I sort of lump them in my head sometimes since I was surprised when I heard that that was her main fandom.. since she's so normal and level-headed lol ;;
