are you on haloperidol? It's the only thing that has ever worked for my brother's Tourette's, but it DOES work the vast majority of the time. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with that, anon. I've seen how debilitating it is for him. *hug*

I don't think I've ever been on that one, but looking it up, I see it conflicts with...just about everything else I'm on. :/ I hate the medication shuffle. Been on all kinds of shit since I was eight and I can't count all the changes. All the times something just stopped working, all the times one had to be increased because of a side effect from another, then decreased because the FDA suddenly decided that a semi-related drug was dangerous. *accepts hug* I hope things are better for your brother though.

I just read in another comment you made that another drug made you gain weight, so I wouldn't recommend this one either if that's a big concern-- my bro has been on it since he was a very small child and it's only just been "discovered" that it causes massive weight gain he's also obese). There just doesn't seem to be a way to win, and I'm so sorry :( Don't give up hope, though-- just because there isn't something now doesn't mean there never will be. It's becoming a much more common condition so there are a lot more studies being done about it than there used to be.
