Yep. Sam tends to bore me. Jared's really improved in his acting since season 1, but it is still not up to Jensen's acting level. He's still not the greatest actor.

I actually think he's a bad actor. His expressions never convince me.

yeah. there are some people i see just wanting to throw awards at him and i'm just baffled by it. i mean i know the guy TRIES, i don't doubt that for a second, but trying ain't enough.

Add me to the list. The show was last balanced around mid-S5 and since then has been far more focused on Sam and the latest incarnation of what's wrong with Sam than Dean. Dean's just sort of there, passively reacting to what's going on. Sam at least gets to do stuff, occasionally, though a lot of the time he's also just there, passively reacting.

At least his passive reaction tends to be a lot more interesting? Compare RoboSam and Lucifer to, IDK, Lisa and did Dean even have anything at all in S7? I can't think of anything for him. I guess he had Purgatory in S8 but that was really more about Cas than about Dean and once Cas was back on the show, we didn't really see any more of it. Amelia got a much better send off than poor Benny did.
