Don't apologize for them
I can accept (and hope) that one day they will grow up and be embarrassed they did this. But the point is THEY SHOULD DAMN WELL BE EMBARRASSED.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-19 02:26 am (UTC)(link)I have a theory that it's a natural progression in wriitng. Teenagers and kids write stories about a super-special magical protagonist (who is a thinly-veiled version of their ideal selves).
And then eventually (hopefully), they grow out of that and start writing stories about fully-fleshed characters.
Some people don't grow out of that, and those people are bad writers.

(Anonymous) 2013-06-20 06:36 am (UTC)(link)to me it always kind of felt like someone sitting there having a loud conversation with an imaginary friend in a public place. it's all well and good to do in your head but keep it to yourself, you know?
