tbh I might start watching SPN more closely if Castiel was perma-killed. I kind of liked s7 and all the conflict Dean and Sam went over Castiel's and Bobby's death (although the scene where they show how numbed by pain Dean and Sam were over Bobby was kind of pathetic). I think after s8 the way they react could be different and have different impacts especially after all that time Dean spent in Purgatory with him.

Oh, well, idk. I don't even watch SPN these days very much.

I won't really believe they won't fall back into their old cycle of secrets and such until I see it. I don't trust the writers that much.

Pathetic because they grieved for their surrogate father, the only person they could depend on to be there for them since Season 1, who loved them both unconditionally, saved their bacon umpteen times and always had a word of advice or encouragement or a boot in the ass when they needed it most? After pretty much all the other friends and family they had in the world had already been yanked out from under them? Damn. Who'd you sell your soul to, since you clearly don't have one?

God. He strikes better deals than the devil.

I meant the whole sequence where, iirc, it's shown that they mostly just hang around the house for several months on end. I get mourning, yes, but sitting around on your ass like that is a bit much tbh.

ofc, I could be remembering the scene wrongly but I remember thinking 'Seems like enough time to at least let off some steam by punching a few monsters in the face to me'.
