I was never on board HMS Annie/Mitchell, so maybe that colours my feelings, but the scene we got felt like it got tacked on and ended up feeling really, idk, intrusive and rushed. They wrote a really great scene farewelling Mitchell, realised they had to get Annie in there somewhere, and just tacked her in. It's a fantastic scene - probably the best of S3 - but I would've founded it even better and more emotional if they had either woven Annie into it more so it didn't feel like "here's a 30 second scene of Annie saying goodbye" OR just kept the scene between George and Mitchell.

+1. (I feel the same way about another BH couple as well. Being Human is a great show, but imo it didn't do romance well. Besides George/Nina, anyway. They were pretty cute and believable.)

Still, agreed on it being one of the best scenes of the season. The George and Mitchell bits were painful but beautiful and incredibly well done.

Hal/Alex as the other couple? If so, ITA with you about them.

Yup! For a while I thought the show would just keep doing the 'will they or won't they thing', which I didn't love but could handle. The focus on them becoming a couple in the finale season was really cringe-worthy for me because it just didn't feel natural. (On top of that it felt rushed.) Maybe I'm biased because of my feelings about Annie/Mitchell, but all I could think was, "Not this again."

And despite my feelings about Annie/Mitchell, I find Hal/Alex to be much, much worse. Considering their past a romantic relationship between the two of them creeps me out.

Both relationships were unhealthy but I think Mitchell/Annie at least started from a healthier place and had a solid friendship before anything romantic happened. Whereas Hal/Alex started from a romantic place, quickly became awful and then just kinda kept on that way. It wasn't my cup of tea, to say the least but I'm in no position to judge Hal/Alex shippers, as they aren't that different from Mitchell/Annie in the unhealthy department. George/Nina had bits of unhealthiness, especially in series 2 but they became quite lovely by the end. But they are kind of the exception when it comes to this show :)
