Re: Inspired by #17
(Anonymous) 2013-06-19 09:50 am (UTC)(link)- when the "will they or won't they" eats the show, the character development or the natural interpersonal dynamic of a couple who are fallin in love (happened with Castle and Bones and House) (don't want it to happen with Elementary or the Killing);
- when I stumble on a really-really-really distastrous episode that's supposed to be important, and story-arch-defining, but (at least for me) instead it's just sinks my main ship under three seconds, uses the stupidest clichés it can in the given situation and brings back characters I hate (happened with NCIS:LA) (don't want it to happen with Revenge);
- when my procedural crime show starts to revolving around longer story-arch I don't (and don't want to) care about, (happened with NCIS);
- or when a show's focus changes drastically (happened with Supernatural a long ago);
- when something happens that touches my personal sore points, and it seems it will become an important plot point later (meaning it won't disappear on a whim), and it makes the show hard to watch... not a triggering effect, not even close, it's just I end up staring at the DVD-case realizing that I'm not watching... again (I think it's happening now with the Killing).
