It's interesting that words for something *don't exist* in Norwegian. Is the language itself more resistant to being mangled into made up words?

I wonder if the average Joe in the street in Iceland is annoyed or delighted by their government's efforts to keep the language close to its origins?

Etymology and how language gets shipped around all over the world is fascinating stuff. And no, not long - i like that you took the time. :)

It is more easily made into more words than English, we do this fun thing where we add words together, as in GrandMother or HousePartyFoodDishes, and so on. It is just that it is easier to use the original words sometimes, just like English uses Latin and French.

Porbably pretty good with it, they do like their language! They almost speak *viking*.

It is fun! I am glad it was informative at least!
