Rambling comment is long... :)

I think it's unrealistic to think we should/could all look like movie stars' versions of feminine to be feminine.

I've never felt very comfortable in my skin as a woman, except when I was really young. Growing up was...tough. But, I've come to accept myself and have confidence, even if I'm not really feminine all the time.

I've embraced my feminity when I do have it--that means being proud of the fact that I think little kids and puppies and kitties are adorable, that I like to dance around to old fashioned music, that I giggle loudly at some movies...even if I don't wear makeup and dresses.

And I've learned I can feel feminine when I want to, with simply a shirt that I look good in, a slightly froofy (?) blouse that has drawstrings and looks good on my body type, without stressing or feeling like I have to wear high heels to fit somebody else's ideals. I wear what I'm comfortable with and what works on my body.

Basically, I just want to say, Own it! You're feminine or you wouldn't want to feel feminine. Own what's on the inside and maybe you'll feel less sad about not looking like idealized feminine figures on the outside.

The media might say there's "one way" to be sexy/cool/feminine/whatever, but what do they know? It's just images, and people who fit the idea of today...whatever today's ideal is, you know? You have a feminine strength inside you that is amazing indeed. Believe it and walk with your head high, and don't say because you don't look like this or that you're not feminine. :)
