Fucking co-signed!

The mark of a good actor is the ability to make an unsympathetic character sympathetic, and she fails miserably no matter how many times she tears up and gazes pathetically at the camera.

She seems like a REALLY nice woman, but a good actor? No.

I'm not a Regina or Lana Parilla fan, but I don't see anyone being able to make Regina's character sympathetic at this point without involving some kind of hypnotism of the audience, because Regina has gone straight through "evil for evil's sake" to "pitiably insane" and then kept going right into "holy fuck get away." Every time somebody involved with the show mentions redeeming Regina, I wonder how the hell they'd pull that off. Hopefully with therapy and meds for a couple of decades after her arrest for--well, what hasn't she done at this point? "I'm going to kill everyone you love--make that everyone you know--except me, and I'll be your hero and we'll be happy" is not a statement or mindset that'll invoke sympathy from me. A small amount of pity drowning in a shrieking sea of horror is as close as I get.
