Re: How frequently is your job represented in media or fandom

Retail worker? Shows usually show the cashiers (which are more often than not some hate-the-world teenager), not the on-the-floor associates, which is what I am. But even so, none of my managers would let the cashiers get away with being little anti-social shits. Maybe some stores, yes, but not mine.

I mean, outside of commercials for said stores, because the workers are always awesome and upbeat and cheerful, which is pretty much the "ideal" we're pushed toward.
