I am not religious at all, and I fucking love the shit out of the Glenn Carter and Jerome Pradon version of Jesus Christ Superstar.

I wanted to see the revival, because I love Mel C. But I fucking HATE Tim Minchin, and refuse to pay AUD$120 to see him butcher my favourite character.

I love that one, too and it drives me a little mad when I see people hating on it. (Especially when they reference 'the original' and clearly mean Norman Jewison's movie.)

It just so perfectly matches what I see when I listen to the album. (And Pradon sounds strikingly similar to Murray Head to my ear.)

Yesss Jerome Pradon! :D I <3 that version. We had it on video when I was a kid.

I've seen parts of the 'original' film and I still don't quite get the appeal. :O
