Eh, maybe they don't have another place. It isn't so bad so long as they don't get out of hand. It's not like we don't have a regular nonfandom secret thread in the general.

I don't think it's a good idea to refocus this com in any way. However there is an actual community here.

I think the issue is that we'd need a submod that everyone likes to quickly erase anything illegal.

It's really easy to post awful stuff in an effort to bring a community down. That's one reason (I think) you have to be logged in here to post an image that automatically shows up rather than gives you a link.

I'm worried someone's secret would be "I REALLY REALLY LIKE SHOTA [Graphic Picture]"

we've had shota-trolls before and they were taken care of fairly easily. if someone wanted to post disturbing pictures, why would they wait to post it in a non-fandom secret thread? or are you suggesting that the sub mod has all the secrets submitted to them and they post them in the thread themselves?

More giving someone the ability to quickly erase images in that one thread. I'm not sure if that's even possible on dreamwidth though.

I just figured that would be a way to implement nonfandom secrets here without adding to Case's workload.

There've been a lot of really not fandom-y secrets recently. This one, the one about makeup, the one whining about natural deaths... did they miss the "fandom" part of Fandom Secrets?
