I'd like to find whatever area of fandom you're frequenting where hating the reboot is not only allowed but actively encouraged. Because from what I've seen you're not considered a TRUE FAN if you dislike the reboot.

Everyone in my fannish circle is pretty polite about it, but many of them hate the reboot and see it as a travesty. When I click on friends of friends is when I start getting into the TRUE FANS can't like the reboot mess, so I quit clicking that shit cause it made me sad. LOL

Yeah, I'm really not sure where AYRT is seeing liking the 2009 movie as a requirement as a True Fan, not as a sign of an Uncultured Clod Who Doesn't Know Anything At All About Star Trek.
