I'm a bisexual girl. This [arrow pointing at "Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl"] doesn't offend me at all. This [Arrow pointing at Karen Gillan's parody version of the same song] does. Whatever the intent of Katy Perry's song is, I think the words still echo a real conflict of denial lots of queer girls go through. Myself included. And whatever the intent of the parody song is, it fails to make a satire of the stereotype that femme lesbians and bisexuals are only doing it for attention. It's not mocking the idea. It's perpetuating it, and all just to bash one singer who may have done it for attention.

Secret because according to all my lesbian friends, Katy Perry is gross, and Karen Gillan is ~perfect~ so hilarious and subversive~ And because I already know someone's going to bet I'm really a straight girl who just wants attention and/or "special snowflake!"

Postscript: sorry secret is about 5 years too late.
