...Now I'm curious because it's just nail polish. Don't get me wrong, I love the stuff...but who would take nail polish that seriously?

Yeah, nail polish would not go against you in Norway, then again our Lawyers barely use suits so we have a lax dresse-code allround. Not even our Prime Minister has a suit on all the time, he does dress more smartly than most in Norway though.

My professors all dress quite casually which includes tshirts with films and stuff on then*, minus one (the youngest) whom wears suits...

*They are film professors so they might be excused, I did have a philosophy prof once who whore metal T-shirts though (and that was at the top ranked university in Norway, I am now at the top ranked Higher Education Institution for Film and Television in Norway)

I realize now that the last part might make me sound pretentious? I am not, we have a fair system for applying to School, everyone apply through the same system, and we are known by a number not our name so the best grades get in. And our tuition is not over 200$ a semester no matter what you study.

You don't sound pretentious. It sounds like a great system. I wish we had it in my country!

Once again Norway sounds like a wonderful place to live with lots of opportunities!

Didn't sound pretentious to me, but then again, I'm used to a similar system ;)

Disneyland, for one. The idea of a "clean-cut appearance" gets taken pretty seriously. Anything beyond what they consider a "neutral color" like pink, forget it. No sparkles, no flowers, no nothing. Makes me sad. I have so many pretty colors I can't use anymore.

Gah, that's so silly. D:

Idk why nail polish would be considered something other than clean cut! If anything it's stylish and can make one look even more put together.

Are you a Princess? (lol this question.) Again, as long as the color matched the dress I don't see why it wouldn't be okay. Sad.

Nope, though I do hope to transfer into Entertainment at some point. I'm in Attractions and the reason my managers gave was "it distracts from the show." I highly doubt anyone noticed my purple fingers with the little white swans on the thumbs while I'm pushing the buttons. I mean, I can see if it's something that looks like this: http://whengeekswed.com/blog1/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/the_avengers_nails_by_jeealee-d4v0t18.jpg That's a little over the top. I think it's just one of the ancient rules that's never really been updated. Up until the early 00s, men couldn't wear mustaches and were only allowed to wear beards as of last year.

Gah. That's so old fashioned and lame. I could kinda see if it was something complex like those Avengers nails (which I adore!), but a simple solid color? Yea, that doesn't make sense. Maybe they'll eventually change the rules so the nail polish thing isn't a problem. (Hope it doesn't take 10+ years though...) It sounds like they take their sweet time changing those ancient rules.

Your icon is adorable btw.
