[Picture is actor Bryan Cranston playing Walter White from the TV series "Breaking Bad." He previously played Hal, Malcolm's father in the sitcom "Malcolm in the Middle".]

For a long time, I was reluctant to watch this show because I was sure I wouldn't be able to unsee Hal. When I finally did watch it, I was right--even though he's a great actor, I couldn't quite separate Walt from Hal.

However, that WASN'T a bad thing for me. In fact, it made Walt's character twice as interesting (and ten times as unsettling).
