Ahhhh fuck I'm not going to unsee Buck Angel now.

Not quite related, but I kind of wish more people who bring up confusion or problems about the possibility of transgender characters in the show would remember that drag culture is an actual thing.

What show is this from anyway?

A dumb fun cartoon called SheZow. A kid called Guy puts on his dead aunt's power ring as a joke, and now he's accidentally taken on a superhero mantle for life, costume included. Puns everywhere.

OH GOD THE PUNS MAKE IT STOP.

BTW, this show was partially produced by an Australian company, and the supercomputer's name is Sheila... which is Australian slang for "woman". (-:

Oh wow, and I thought they only named the computer Sheila just because it starts with "She". The puns are more deep rooted than I realised ♥

I don't even quite get why people other than Guy's circle would use terms like Shelebrities to refer to celebrities, does their whole world worship high fem presentation? It doesn't seem to be that way since there's still some casual misogny in there (nothing too bad).

Ah well it's a fun show but the puns get tiring.

SheZow, a show about a boy who becomes a superhero; the previous versions where all women, and they wore pink outfits which included dresses--and so does he. Yeah, he's a 12-year-old who saves the world (or at least his city) in a pink dress, heels, and makeup.

Non-queer folk tend to mix up drag and transsexuality all the time, it tends to go both ways on that score look at the King of the Hill episode with the "Drag Queen," and how much transsexual tropes are used especially when they talk with their mother. Of course Trans Women used to be found mostly in the Drag community before HRT became more commonly available.

But I totally get what you're saying.

[Picture might be from the cartoon "SheZow". In the picture is a blonde woman wearing a green jumpsuit with the drawing of a "T" on her chest. In front is an old bald man with many tattoos all over his body and head, next to a picture of the adult film performer Buck Angel, who also has many tattoos all over his body and a shaved head. Next to Buck Angel and the cartoon man are two arrows pointing at them and the text "Separated at Birth!".]

I'm a trans woman and I think the right wing panic over this show is hilarious. It's pretty inoffensive but totally not about a Transgender kid. Guy is well... a guy.

I've totally headcannoned these two characters as being Trans, though... I mean the bald guy totally looks like an older Buck Angel! As soon as I saw the intro I decided the T on Terra's chest stands for Trans.

Secret because I haven't seen the bald guy but in Terra's case it's very unflattering. In a show about High Feminine presentation she's got a freaking SNOT based attack.

I'm really not sure if I identified the cartoon correctly. I could only find one image of the woman in the secret.

Headcanon: The ideas that a particular fan accepts as their own personal canon of a given published work, "inside their head", so to speak. These ideas are not explicitly confirmed in canon, but neither are they denied or sometimes even addressed at all.

Woo, Buck Angel! He's so frickin' hot...
