Any kind of stimulant can be really bad for your heart in large doses though

seriously. even if it's not something "illegal," caffeine pills in large doses can screw your body up and even throw your heart out of rhythm, cause anxiety, sweats, etc. Sure, it's a super cheesy episode, but I always looked as it as a "OTC drugs aren't as safe as you think if taken in large doses" message to the age demographic that usually watched the show. Hell, even vitamins can be dangerous in large doses. It might not be an illegal drug, but caffeine overdoses have been reported, especially in teens looking to stay up to study/do sports/ afterschool activities. Some have even died due to cardiac failure.
