Re: Pansexual vs Bisexual
Bisexual= attraction to more than one gender
Pansexual = attraction outside of gender
Is this splitting hairs? Probably but in cases of identity I say people should just ID with whatever makes them comfortable and happy.
People differentiate for a lot of reasons, some political, some social, some just because they like the connotation of one term better than another term. In a similar vein as to how people might use neither and use the terms queer, polysexual, omnisexual, fluid, or a bazillion other labels. Or they might have multiple labels. Or they might have no labels.
Idk as a non-monosexual person because there are so many labels available, each with different sociopolitical connotations, it is a personal choice as to which one you ultimately decide to use in public or private, like personally I feel more queer or fluid but publicly call myself bisexual when appropriate because it is easier and people actually know what you are talking about.
