I don't know if you know this, but UIC is often nicknamed "where fun goes to die." I'm from Chicago, but here's proof if you don't believe me.

UChicago is not the same as University of Illinois at Chicago, fyi (though the article, at least, got it right... four years ago)

that wasn't entirely true when that article was written and pretty much isn't true at all now (it was definitely true, from what i've heard, back in the 90s and before though, which is when it got that reputation)

not that it's a party school or anything but "where fun goes to die" is basically a marketing slogan at this point, and about as true as marketing slogans usually are
