Secondly, I grew up in the US and both my parents use the word cunt as an insult. I don't use it often and some of those times I have used it jokingly with my sister (I am also a girl). I don't really consider it any different than dick or asshole.

I actually love the word cunt. It is such a hard sounding word. I sometimes say it in my head when I am alone in a room. Cunt. Has the same satisfying feeling as cock.

I'm from neither the US or UK and I agree that it doesn't sound that different from dick or asshole to me. It's like the trifecta of genitalia as insults.

At the very least I wish it was more acceptable to use it in written porn. Pussy sounds so infantilizing; I wish we could use the word that has more punch to it.

Heh, when I am actually talking about sex with my partner, we both say cunt. Because pussy is either infantilizing, or a goddamn cat. Pussy is the least fucking sexy word in existence. You might as well be going HER VAGOO or HER VAJAYJAY.

I have to agree with you. My parents never used this word, but i've used it before and i don't think it's some kind of world-ending slur.

And it *is* a good word for that body part in a raunchy-sexy way, or a sort of hard-core way. 'Pussy' sounds 100 times more insulting to me - cunt sounds like someone who is in control of what she's doing and who she's doing it with.
