I loved his scenes, they really gave a feeling that in the Hobbit the age of magic and whimsy was still alive. It helps separate it from the more funereal tone of LotR which was about the ending of the age of magic.

Yep, I'm with you I loved his role in the movie and am actually hoping for more of him though I doubt there will be since there isn't a lot to work with literature wise. (I wish his role in the LoTR had been included too)

I like the whimsy, too. The bunny-sledge was one of my favorite things in the entire movie, lol.

Aw yeah, bunny sledge was awesome. Could have done with less bird poo jokes, but bunny sled was magnificent.

Different anon, but I completely agree with both of these comments. When I saw that bunny sledge, I wanted Radagast to enter and win the Iditarod. Because he totally could.

I also liked seeing him because I remember reading FOTR after I saw the films and wondering what he would have been like onscreen and now it's just nice to see him. And he's the Seventh Doctor, which is nice.
