(Anonymous) 2013-07-01 01:35 am (UTC)(link)I agree. And since everyone's already aware that Saruman ends up corrupted and evil, setting him up as neutral yet unpleasant like they seemed to be attempting doesn't really work. Lee is wonderful as Saruman but sadly doesn't fit that well into the movie.
