I would have liked to see her succed in her plans, or at least get out of doge on her own

But that's you and 99.9% of the detractors, anon. If they'd done that it would've been true to the canon and you wouldn't've seen hardly any of the outcry.

Yes, because Irene losing was the ONLY issue anyone had with that episode.

FYI, given the changes to the character, I'm GLAD she lost---and I still hate the episode.

I don't know man her losing is what I've seen most people complain about. It's only on LJ/DW/Tumblr that I've seen fans get into the problematic issues behind the representation of her sexuality, etc.

In my defense, those are pretty much the only places I talk about Sherlock, so, yeah, I do see those issues brought up a lot.
