I'm with you, OP. I thought the show sounded good, I actually watched the pilot and thought it wasn't bad. But the fandom is horrible. They constantly behave like it's the best show ever (when, from what I've seen, it's good, but hardly the best thing ever), they pit it non-stop against Sherlock as if you had to love one and hate the other and couldn't possibly like both, everyone who likes Sherlock is an idiot, and they're so self-righteous about liking the 'superior' show.

inb4 Sherlock fans are the same: yes, they are, and they also ruined Sherlock for me. I just watched Sherlock before interacting with the fandom, while the Elementary fandom managed to ruin things before I even got around to watching the show.
