Yeah, off the top of my head the only good father-daughter I know of is Kick-Ass. I already mentioned my two favourite mother-sons, both of which involve a figurative rather than literal mother.

ETA: For an Overbearing Mother not played for laughs, Oliver Stone's Alexander is pretty fine...except for the part where the actor playing the son is only 1 year younger than the actress playing the mother, because that is how Hollywood casting works I guess, lolwat.
