The entire reason I started playing Dungeons & Dragons was because I liked the idea of being a fantasy character; something other than a boring human. But a friend in my group has been copying EVERYTHING I do. He switched his character to be the same as mine (and therefore has the same spells and abilities as me), and now during our last session even transforms into the same animal as I do, when that was totally MY thing that was a huge part of my character's backstory.
His copying is taking out all of the fun I had feeling unique. I know it's just pretend, but even so. At this point I'm ready to quit the game because it isn't fun anymore.
