Same. It looks like everything I want in a show, but I just can't get into it, and I really don't know why. A lot of my friends are into it, and I still think the premise is so interesting and the acting seems great, but I watched the first episode and was just bored. It didn't inspire me at all to keep watching. Everyone seems to be loving it, and I wish I could figure out why I'm not. What am I missing?

Just keep on soldiering on, I guess? One of the great things about Orphan Black (well, to me anyway) is the build up. The first couple episodes is about establishing the clones' lives. Then the conspiracy really begins to unfold; and it does so with wonderful speed. When the showrunners introduce a question to the plot, they don't shy away from answering it within an episode or so.

Also, there's the acting! Based on what you've said, I don't think what you've seen does justice to just how great Tatiana Maslany's acting is. The clones, the clones impersonating each other, etc., it's easy to forget that it's only one person playing all of them.

But yeah, my only advice would be really to just keep watching. For me, I started to get into it by the third episode.
