Me too. That would be awesome. Lawless would be a much better Holmes than Miller. He annoys me.

I like the show, but damn this would have been AWESOME.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-03 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh god if she had been Holmes and Lucy Liu remained as Watson? That would have been amazing.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-03 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
THIS. SO FUCKING MUCH

Yes, yes, she does.

I could totally get behind replacing JLM with Lucy Lawless but Lucy Liu IS Joan Watson.

100% agreed. Don't get me wrong, I like JLM, but...Lucy Lawless! God, that would be hot.

So much sorrow now that this isn't reality.

I'd watch Elementary if it would actually feel like Sherlock to me and not a generic crime show. But objectively, Lucy Lawless should just be in more things in general.

(Anonymous) 2013-07-03 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Please can *fewer* things be like Sherlock? Yuk.

It might move like a crime procedural but it actually is littered with references to the original books and stories, even edited dialogue between the characters etc. I've heard some books fans really appreciate the way they're encorporated bits of the canon in there without telling the exact stories canon told.

I guess if you have no love for the format, it might be a tough sell, but it is actually a very good show that goes beyond its procedural bearings in terms of characters. I'd still recommend it.

Nah.

[Picture is the actress Lucy Lawless. She is wearing dark pants and blouse and a shiny dark jacket. She has slightly long blonde hair and is standing in a sort of tough-looking pose, with her elbow against a wall.]

I would have been more interested in 'Elementary' if SHE had been Watson or Holmes.

I'd watch Lawless as Holmes or Watson tbh as long as Liu was one as well. That would be great *__*
