I'm a guild officer in one of the games I play and we have separate ranks for people who are representing and people who aren't. I often find myself compulsively going through the list of members and promoting/demoting them based on whether or not they're representing. It makes more sense in context, but...that's my weird habit.

Do you mean mentally promoting/demoting or do you actually change their rank?

Changing their rank, but only technically. We have two "versions" of each rank. I personally don't care if people rep or not, but I'm literally only an officer because the guild owner is a friend of mine and believes in seniority, so I do what I can to feel useful.

GW2?

Well, at least aren't harassing people over it. I had an officer in a guild I used to be in that would actively harrass someone every five minutes over that - even if they were on an alt. Keywords are, of course, 'used to be'.

When I was a Guild Leader in WoW I would always change the names of the ranks to more hilarious (to me) names.

What's the logic behind different ranks for representing or not? Wouldn't you have to constantly (or often) be going in and changing ranks? Why bother?

For active or non-active, I could understand. And my guild has a separate rank for people who consider our guild their "main" guild and those who don't, but repping or not I just don't get.

I dunno, ask my guild leader, he's weird. /shrug
