"A leftist who's not a total dickhead" might be a good start. Because the fact that there are liberals who are dickheads doesn't mean that you have to be one too.

Really, though, it's hard to say, because I don't know anything about your beliefs outside of a basic commitment to human equality and dignity and opposition to bigotry - which is good, but also compatible with a whole host of political positions.

But in general, I would say there's nothing wrong with belonging to a position even if you dislike or disagree with a lot of the people who are broadly coming from the same place. That's just kind of how politics works. The world is full of dickheads and it's very unlikely you're ever going to find a place where they're all on the other side.
