I know a few conservatives here at the university who sure as hell didn't vote for Bush.
As for liberals, a lot of them are fucking NIMBYS (Not In My Backyard--basically they want change but not anything that might in any way inconvenience them). Don't confuse Liberal with Left Wing, though. They're often very different. A liberal might just be a centrist a little left of pure neutral. How about you just identify as yourself? The two party system's a racket. It's reduced the running of the country into doubles ping pong. Vote for who you agree with most. Own your own ideas rather than adopting a bullshit platform.
I'm mostly left wing, but I'm only registered democrat because New York requires that to vote in primaries. I don't fit on the binary and thank god, at least that means I'm thinking for myself a little bit.
