She did NOT credit the lines/paragraphs she snagged. She copied word-for-word several PAGES of Pamela Dean's "Secret Country", and it was not credited. It was eventually credited AFTER the fact, AFTER she got banned from FFNet, specifically for those pages of plagiarized content. She eventually even got permission from the author, but all of this was after the shit hit the fan.

I read her work at the time it was originally posted, and I watched all of this go down, and because it was such a big brouhaha, I do recall the details. Plus, there are written accounts of what happened and when it happened.

I don't care about the rest, and I agree, I don't think about CC enough to worry about her friends or hold a grudge, but the plagiarism charge sticks because it WAS outright plagiarism, not a pastiche, not a homage, and not fanfic. Word-for-word copying.
